Aiming to reinforce its place as an innovative market leader in warehouse handling equipment, OMG has released a reimagining of its classic pedestrian-controlled pallet stackers. The all-new 716 K ac and 720 K ac have now been injected with several shots of new technology, having been adapted and re-launched to suit the constantly evolving industry.

The brand new mast design has improved visibility, faster lift and lower speeds, while a brand new mono bloc chassis has been developed to offer outstanding stability. Meanwhile, the face of the forks itself has shrunk in length to improve manoeuvrability and permit use even in narrow spaces. Simultaneously compact (the unit is only 87cm wide) and extremely strong, the OMG 716 K AC and 720 K AC are perfect for use in more confined environments.
Size and strength aside, the operation of this machine is incredibly precise and intricate considering the loads it is required to manage. A mini-joystick and proportional push-buttons located on the tiller arm permit precise and sensitive load lifting and lowering and the ergonomics have been brought right up to date.

Industry Coup as Witham’s Ambassador Lift Trucks is appointed as UK Importer for Komatsu Utility
It has been a challenging time for most businesses, but this week Witham-based Ambassador Lift Trucks has cause to celebrate after its appointment as exclusive UK Importer for global company Komatsu Utility.
Ambassador is already highly experienced in the industry, and has continued to thrive through the economic downturn, employing 19 staff at its Perry Road site. Ambassador will be responsible for supporting existing Komatsu dealers nationwide, while focussing on increasing Komatsu’s market share with the appointment of additional dealers across the UK.
Last week, Komatsu Utility Company President and CEO Mr Isoda, and European General Manager Mr Goto flew in from Japan to visit Witham and officiate Ambassador’s appointment as Komatsu’s Official UK Importer.

Ambassador Lift Trucks Sales Director Trevor De’Ath said ‘We look forward to the new challenge ahead; we have an exciting future with Komatsu and we expect to create even more local jobs as a result of the appointment.’
In addition to growing the network of Komatsu UK dealers, Ambassador Lift Trucks will be responsible for UK sales, after-sales support and the supply of Komatsu spare parts to its dealers nationwide.
National Sales Manager Chris Bunn said ‘As Komatsu’s UK importer we will be able to offer an extensive range of high quality products at a competitive cost to the dealer, and provide a level of service that we would expect ourselves from a manufacturer.’

Fragrance House Discovers OMG Makes Scents The Niche luxury fragrance house Amouage, is one of
the first companies in the UK to benefit from the latest warehouse utility from OMG after taking
delivery of a new NEOS II 14 ac reach truck from OMG UK importer Ambassador Lift Trucks.
Amouage’s luxury fragranced products are sold in exclusive UK stores including Harrods, Macy’s and
Selfridges. From its London warehouse, Amouage also distributes bottles of perfume – some with £300 price tags to more than 15 countries as far afield as Australia.

Challenged with the safe cargo of a high-value, fragile product and a space restricted
warehousing facility, Amouage’s Logistics Manager Duncan Hogg undertook extensive
research before selecting Ambassador and OMG. ‘We had talked to a few UK warehousing
suppliers and chose Ambassador based on their industry knowledge and the service levels
they offer. We were impressed with the usability features and high specification of the OMG
reach truck and felt it would suit our needs perfectly.’
A few weeks on, Duncan is delighted with the Neos II. ‘We absolutely made the right
decision in the Neos II and I don’t believe we could have chosen a more suitable machine. It
navigates perfectly and works with ease in our tight 2.5 metre operating aisle and as an
experienced logistics manager I believe the wheel alignment feature on the Neos II should
be introduced as a safety standard on all reach trucks.’
